Unit 10. Landscapes
La unidad trata de los paisajes (Landscapes) y en ella aprenderemos a:
- nombrar y describir elementos naturales en un paisaje
- reconocer algunas semejanzas y deferencias básicas entre los paisajes costeros y los de interior
- entender que hay que tomar precauciones para estar seguro durante las vacaciones
- reconocer los elementos humanos y físicos que se ven en la naturaleza
- reconocer los elementos humanos y físicos que hay en su localidad
- conocer sobre los animales que viven en la costa
- saber cómo estar seguro en la playa
Además, en esta unidad investigaremos el agua marina para determinar si es salada y recitaremos la rima Landscapes, con la que repasará el vocabulario principal en contexto. Animad a vuestro hijo/a para que la escuche mientras mira el Picture dictionary enla página 135 de su libro.

En clase veremos varias presentaciones de PowerPoint con imágenes de paisajes en la que podrán identificar elementos naturales y elementos creados por el hombre, diferenciarán paisajes costeros y de interior, etc.
Además, al abordar el concepto isla (island) hablamos sobre España y sus islas. Sería recomendable que observaseis un mapa de España y tratéis de localizar en él, además de las islas Canarias y Baleares, algunos de los lugares más significativos para cada niño. Os proponemos este enlace para una primera aproximación a las Comunidades de España.

Unit 11. The Sun
La unidad 11 trata del sol (The Sun), así que en ella aprenderemos a:
- identificar los objetos que se ven en el cielo
- comprender que el sol nos da luz y calor y aprender algunas de sus características
- entender que la luz del sol es necesaria para la vida
- saber por qué tenemos días y noches y hablar sobre actividades asociadas al día y a la noche
- comprender que las pautas diurnas y nocturnas afectan a algunos animales
- entender que es necesario protegerse del sol
- identificar las cuatro estaciones del año y sus características
- decir los nombres de los meses
En esta unidad también investigará por qué tenemos día y noche y recitará la rima The Sun. Esta rima está diseñada para que vuestro hijo/a repase el vocabulario esencial de l aunidad en contexto. Animadlo/a para que la escuche mientras mira el Picture dictionary en la página 136 de su libro.
